Yingzhou in the Song Dynasty is now Fuyang in Anhui Province. Su Shi, a poet, was the governor of Yingzhou. During his tenure, he built water conservancy, dredged the West Lake, released food to the people. He still left a deep attachment to the people of Yingzhou although in the position for 8 months only.

It is an old house reconstruction project. The owner wants to obtain a quiet corner in the prosperous block of the old urban area as a place for living and creation.

The owner of the house is a person who loves words and classics. Every corner of the home emits the smell of ink. Different from the typical character of local people, the owner is more inclined, quiet and inaction. Her life attitude is peace, harmonious and free from conflict.

"Warm" is the word obeyed by designers in the project. In order to create warm atmosphere, the designer pays more attention to connotative materials, such as stones from old house and wooden furniture.

However, the owner hesitated on the floor tiles. If it was the wooden floor, the first floor of the house may be deformed and moldy due to humidity. If it was normal tiles, the cold texture could not be a good choice... Until the "warm" NUAGE Series was presented. Nuage Nero was selected as flooring in order to increase the space tension power, coupled with white walls and light colored furniture, resulted to a calm and elegant space atmosphere.

Deep-toned interior decoration brings out the unique temperament of a "home" — a place where one can effortlessly set aside formality, sit back, and unwind in a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The introduction of a water feature, with its interwoven water and light, allows natural light to filter into the interior space, infusing it with poetic charm and artistic beauty.
